We are planning to move to the Isle of Man. Will our teachers pension (TPS) be taxable in the IoM only under the double taxation treaty with the IoM? Guidance in 2009 (https://www.gov.im/media/97268/internationalguidance300609.pdf) seemed to indicate that this would be the case however I’m aware the treaty was updated in 2018. Any advice would be much appreciated. Simon & Debra

Hi,
Please refer to Article 18 of the double taxation treaty:
UK – ISLE OF MAN DOUBLE TAXATION AGREEMENT AND PROTOCOL
Thank you
