I have a small Local government pension , less than £2k a year and small 25% tax free I want to crystalise. I currently also pay into a active Civil Service pension and still in full time employment. If I crystalise the LGP , how will that affect my regular contributions into the CS Pension. I read on another thread it drops to £4000 limit. (from what I don't know) does this cover just my contributions or mine and the Civil Service contributions in that new £4000 limit. Thank you in advance.

Hi,
The £4000 limit is triggered when you take a pension and this means you cannot get tax relief on more than this amount. This includes payments to any pension, plus the tax relief applied. You can see guidance here:
PTM056520 - Annual allowance: money purchase annual allowance: trigger events
Thank you.
