Hi, My partner and I have just got married are her is completing a PhD with a stipend above the £12,570 limit. This stipend is not generally used as part of tax calculates (i.e. it doesn't count for income tax or NI contributions), and I just want to know if it should be counted here. Thanks

Hi ,

Income from a PHD Stipend is not considered as Taxable Income so it is not taken into account against Marriage Allowance.

Thank you .
