Hello, I was wondering if someone could provide some clarity concerning personal tax when you permanently leave the UK to work in Malaysia. I am a remote worker, paid via PAYE in the UK; I am permanently leaving the UK to reside in Malaysia, however, I will still be working for a UK-based company. I will be residing in Malaysia for 2 years under the Digital Nomad visa, where I will be performing 100% of my duties in Malaysia, therefore I will be a Non-Tax Resident in the UK. I understand that I must complete the P85 form (as soon as I leave the UK) and request the issue of an NT code, however, once I have the NT code and supply it to my employer, will I stop paying UK taxes on earnings as soon as it is applied?
