Sorry the new law about domicile and non domicile confuses me a lot. please help! Long story short: I been in UK for 14 years. From secondary school to working after college. Always worked in the UK after graduate, been paying taxes like normal. No foreign income. quitted my job in March. Moved out of UK on 28th April 2024 and back to where I came from. I used the online resident status calculator and it said I am not a resident for 2024-2025. With all these fancy terms e.g. FIG.... My question is: do I need to pay any taxes from tax year 2024 and so on, if I work in a foreign country without any UK income ? ( do these new changes affect me if I am not a resident anymore?)

Hi
The guidance on this change to the remittance basis, are still being written and may change.  This means that we cannot comment on the new rules at this time.
