I currently have a salaried income and am in receipt of an occupational pension. My income has a tax code of BR and pension as K375. I am applying to reduce my hours from 37 to 30 hours per week and this will reduce my annual income (salary only) by about £7000. I am hoping to make this change in April 2025. Will my monthly income tax deductions begin straight away or will there be a delay during which time I will continue to have income tax deducted at the rates applied now? Should I amend pay figures on my tax account page manually at the time or do I need to call Inland Revenue to make an adjustment? Is the change from full time to part time likely to be seamless? Thanks
