Hi, During tax year 23/24 my dividends exceeded the limit. At first I thought I could only tell HMRC by doing a tax return. My dividends were under 10k, so can I just print off my drip statements and send them via post to update HMRC on dividends received? Self assessment is a lot of extra work which I don’t think is really needed?

Hi,

If your 23/24 dividend income was over £10,000, you need to complete a tax return to declare this income.

Thank you.
