I intend to work in Malaysia under the Digitial Nomad Visa as a remote worker. I will be working for and getting paid by my UK company via PAYE and will be taxed at source. I will be classified as a Malaysian tax resident (residing longer than 6 months), As I undrstand it, I will pay tax to Malaysia and will not be liable to pay UK tax due to the DTA agreement? I will still be in employement by the same company in UK and so will not have a P45. How do I go about stopping paying UK tax at source.

Hi Hafiz Ahmed,
You should complete the online form P85, to confirm that you have left the UK and will continue to be employed outside the UK, by your UK employer.
Get your Income Tax right if you're leaving the UK (P85).
Your employer can be instructed to not deduct tax from your employment income.
Thank you.
