My daughter has started a zero hour contract job. She is 19. She will earn around £400-£500 pcm. The company is taking off 20% tax. How does she get that back?

Hi,
If your daughter is being taxed at 20% on her earnings from a zero hour contract job and her total income is below the personal allowance threshold, £12,570 for the 2024 to 2025 tax year, her tax code is incorrect.
Please contact our Income Tax team and they will be able to correct her tax code which will result in a repayment of tax.
