Hello, I am buying a house in the UK (I am a UK resident) and my parents (Spanish residents) want to give me some money as a gift for the deposit. Do I have to pay any tax on that gifted money? Can it be transferred directly from my parents' bank account in Spain to my bank account here in the UK? Thanks

Hi anacala,
There are no Income Tax implications on the receipt of a cash gift unless the cash gift generates interest or dividends.
These would then potentially be subject to tax.
Further guidance can be found here:
Tax on savings interest
Tax on dividends
Thank you
