I was trying to log in to my Goverment Gateway ID to set up a UTRN for self assessment tax return, but after I input all the personal details it shown that the personal tax account is connected to another Government Gateway ID, which the details does not belong to us. We have tried to called the phone number 0300 200 3600 on the page, but we couldn't pass the additional security check to amend the details, we believed it's because of the questions they were asking was about the wrong person that my N.I. number was linked to. They have gave us another phone number ending with 3300, and they said it was about online login so popped us back to the first phone number, which does not help us. In this case, is there any advisor I could reach and update the details? It has been really frustrating. Thank you.
