Good afternoon. I am after some advice on how to calculate Pension Input Amounts for my (defined contribution) SIPP. My SIPP provider has given me two figures for each tax year - total net contributions and total contributions including the tax relief claimed. Can you advise me which of these figures should be used? (I have seen conflicting advice online). I also have a follow up question. I also have a (defined benefit) public service pension, for which I have Pension Input Amount figures. Is my total Pension Input Amount for a given tax year just the sum of the two Pension Input Amounts (occupational pension plus SIPP)? Thank you.
