Retiring

I am retiring in September and I have been advised to contact HMRC to let them know. I have tried ringing several times and have used the digi chat but can't get a response. Is there a form I need to complete to advise HMRC?

Hi Cuocolo1960,
If you are retiring your employer will send HMRC form P45 details to close the employment on your record.
If you are going to start receiving pension income you can contact HMRC once the pensions start and we will ensure your tax codes are correct.
