Hi, my last job put thru my final payment I.E the redundancy pay thru the tax roll and i paid all the taxes on it. including student loan etc The company then went into liquidation, What can i do to get this payment back ? It happened in April of this year. I have the payslip and my P45 but cant get anything else from the company now. Can anyone help as im unemployed still and need the money. Thanks

Hi,

If you believe you have overpaid tax on the final payment that you have received, and you are not intending to work again in the near future, you can complete a form P50. This will allow you to claim any tax overpaid. If you are intending to start work, you would hand in the P45 to the new employer and any overpaid tax should be repaid via their payroll.
