Hi, I had made SIPP contribution on the recent tax year. I am a higher rate tax payer. By making SIPP contribution, will the total taxable income be reduced during self assessment submission? e.g - Pre SIPP taxable income - £106000 SIPP contributed(with 20% tax relief) - £6000 Taxable income after SIPP - 100000 (claim higher rate tax by Self assessment)? Will I hence be eligible to claim for child care top ups from HMRC ?

Hi,

Your SIPP contributions will affect your adjusted net income in the way that you have outlined.
