I've been living and working regurarly in the UK from 2013 until 2018. I've moved back to my native country since then (Italy) and I would now need some sort of official document that certifies my UK residency in such period, as there are some tax benefits for people like me who have lived abroad and then moved back to Italy. Can the HMRC provide me with a certificate of residence for such period even though I am not living in the UK any longer?

Hi,

You can apply for a UK certificate of residence by using our online service or by emailing the appropriate application form to HMRC. Full details are provided here:
