My wife and I were both born, raised and lived in the UK until 2014 when we left to live in Switzerland. We lived there until 2023 when we returned to the UK. We paid into pensions for our almost 10 year stint in Switzerland and are now considering withdrawing the pensions to our Swiss Bank account then transferring it to the UK to save or invest. Can anyone tell us if we must pay tax on the money being transferred to our UK account? We have paid Swiss tax already when withdrawing the pensions.
