Hi I have two cash ISAs - one maturing on 4th April 2024 (last tax year) and one maturing 5th April 2024 (this tax year,) My question is can I open a new cash ISA now ready to transfer last years full balance with no extra funding on the 4th April or will this be classed as having two Icash ISAs in the same year. Thanks

Hi Steve506,
If you have already contributed to any this tax year no.
Please see guidance here:
Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs).
Please note this changes from 06/04/24 when you can open more than 1 but the deposit is still limited to £20k.
Thank you.

Hi Thanks for replying. I will not be contributing to the new cash ISA - it is purely for transferring matured ISAs into.
