Income tax allowance reduction

I pad £50 extra tax this month and I noticed you still had my salary recorded for previous working hours so I updated this online as my hours have reduced. Now had my tax allowance reduced by £400 and estimated I owe £16. Don’t understand why as am now earning £4000 less per year?
