Hi Alejandra Trujillo,
HMRC will contact you in due course to advise of next actions as one of the accounts will not be classed as tax free.
Thank you.

Hi Is it alright if you open one stock and share isa and one cash isa in the same tax years from different providers now?

Hi,

Thank you.

Hi, Is it alright if I open a new Stocks and Shares ISA in the same tax year I've paid into another Stocks & Shares ISA (with a different provider but opened in a previous tax year) now? I understand the limit of £20k remains the limit across all accounts. Thanks

Hi TR 205.
Yes.
You can now open more than one of the same type of ISA in the same tax year and pay into them up to £20,000 limit.  You have always been able to open a new ISA each tax year and pay in up to the £20,000 limit.
Thank you.

Hi I opened 2 ISAs by mistake before the beginning of this tax year - do I need to get HMRC approval to confirm which one is closed and reopen one for 2025 2026 ? Thanks

Hi ,

You can now open more than 1 but the limit is still 20k.

If you have not exceeded this total, you dont need to do anything .

Thank you .
