TAX CODE CHANGE

My employer used an incorrect tax code and I was overcharged for tax. I called and HMRC changed it to the correct tax code, I also got a tax code change notice today via email. My question is how long will it take for the notice to get to my employer and when will I get a refund for the overcharged tax?

Hi OfficialRenn,
The employer should receive an online copy within 3 working days and when they operate the new code for the first time through payroll any refund due will be received through your salary.
