Hello. 1) I want to work remotely for a Spanish company while living in the UK, and I am not a UK citizen. Are there any obligations for the Spanish company to pay social security or other employment taxes to the UK? 2) Is the salary I receive for remote work performed in the UK for a Spanish company eligible to be treated under the remittance basis of taxation if I am non-domiciled but resident in the UK?

Hi user404,
1. No, the Spanish company will not have any obligations
2. No, as you are working in the UK and it will be treated as self employment here.
Thank you.
