Hi there, I'm getting really confused and stressed by changes that have been happening to my tax allowances. I retired in April, and started new employment in June. I was put on special tax code after retirement because I was receiving pension and my final pay, but phoned and sorted it. Even got a small refund. Now I have had my first payslip from my new employer, and I got a message from HMRC saying my codes have changed to SK789X for my pension and SD0X for my new job, and that i have had an adjustment to my tax ban of over 13k. They say my tax allowance is now -£7890. My combined income is circa 80k, but I just can't figure out what's going on. Please help!
