Tax on earned interest

I have a couple of online bank saving accounts, and jointly earned over the £1000 tax free amount in tax year 2022/2023, do the banks notify HMRC or do I bring the figures to there notice. Advice greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Banks notify HMRC directly and you don't need to inform HMRC. Unless you are already completing a Self Assessment tax return.
