Hello. I moved to the UK for the first time this past tax year. Prior to arriving, I was employed in another country. I received my last pay for work that I did in the other country after I arrived in the UK. I am eligible for split year treatment, so that before I arrived to the UK is not part of my tax year this year. Is the last pay check from my foreign job, which I received once I arrived in the UK but which was for pay for work before I came to the UK, taxable in the UK this year? (Assuming I am not on remittance basis.)

Hi,

This depends on the double taxation treaty that is held with the country that you came from.

Thank you.
