For your adjusted net income calculations, you can deduct charity gift aid contributions from your total taxable income. So say for 2022-2023, do they allow you take take into account charity contributions from this year (2023-2024) into that calculation in a similar way they do for when doing your self-assessment for the tax year 2022-2023. I wasn't sure if it was effectively the same thing or not. I am slightly over the £100K threshold for 2022-2023 and looking to bring this down by making a charity contribution this tax year, but wasn't sure if that counted towards your adjusted net income. Apologies if there is another thread on this.

Hi,
You may be able to carry back charitable gift aid contributions made in this tax year to the previous year, 22/23.
You would have to declare this in your 22/23 tax return, and you would only be able to declare this before the 22/23 filing date.
