I am coming to Australia and applying for the 804 Visa, which will give a bridging in Visa. I am bringing with me the assets from my property I am selling in the UK I want to put these assets into the Commonwealth Bank What tax will I have to pay on the interest from this capital. As I am on a bridging visa, but still living permanently there Will the bank stop the interest at source Many thanks

Hi Stephen,
That is for the Australian tax authorities to answer. any UK interest will now need to be taxed at source as you are not UK resident.
Thank you.
