Hello Team, I am the sole director of my ltd company operating exclusively online. I am moving permanently abroad and I will have no obligations to return to the UK to attend meetings etc. Furthermore, I have no other financial ties or income from renting and I own no properties in the UK. I am fully aware that my company is subject to corporation tax etc. What are my personal tax obligations regarding my director’s wage considering that I no longer live or intending to travel back in the UK for the foreseeable future? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

You will need to submit a P85 advising that you will be leaving the UK and still employed by a UK based employer. This will ensure the correct tax code is issued for you.

You will need to declare this income in your new country of residence, at it will be taxable there.

Get your Income Tax right if you're leaving the UK (P85)

Thank you.
