Can you confirm that: When a property is sold by bare owners following the death of the last usufructuary (2022), (French) usufruct created before 22 March 2006, right to dispose of property only after death of last usufruct as per contract, the property is only liable for CGT at the time of sale (and calculated from the date of death of the last usufructuary), and not liable to any IHT? Thank you for your help

Hi Tax20,
You would need to contact the IHT helpline on 0300 123 1072 for this.
Thank you.
