Hello, Can I please get advice on what I would need to do for the following scenario: 1. British citizen 2. Hold a UK sole proprietorship and work as a consultant. My clients will be paying me to my UK account and are not based in the UK or Singapore. 3. I don't own property in the UK nor do I plan to be in the UK outside of brief holidays. 4. Moved to Singapore and will be in Singapore for more than 183 days. Thus the Singaporean tax agency has me told me that I must complete a Certificate of Residence in Singapore and pay Singaporean taxes (https://www.iras.gov.sg/taxes/individual-income-tax/basics-of-individual-income-tax/tax-residency-and-tax-rates/apply-for-certificate-of-residence) Am I considered a UK tax resident? Do I need to completed any forms (i.e. double tax agreement forms) to HMRC? Many thanks!

Hi Elise Tessier,
HMRC cannot advise you on your residence as that is for you to determine based on guidance available here:
RDR3 Statutory Residence Test
Thank you.
