Hi, how much can I contribute to my private pension annually if I don't currently work & can I carry any unused taxable allowances ? Also i complete a self-assessment annually as I receive income from rental properties, should I detail pension contributions going forward on my self-assessment for the tax relief or is the Tax adjustment made by my Pension provider when i make the contribution ? thanks

Hi ,

You can contribute £2,880 and your pension provider claim 20% tax relief from HMRC, making a total of £3,600 in a tax year.

Thank you .
