I didn't receive the tax refund cheque

To whom it concerns: I've got a message in 11 July that HMRC will post me a cheque for tax refund which I haven't received it yet. How can I check the status of this cheque? I've tried to call HMRC but didn't get in. Can someone send me a email regarding the cheque? I assume you may need my NI number and name. thanks.
