Whilst divorcing are we married for stamp duty purposes until the date of the Final Order or are there similar rules to Capital Gains Tax around CGT rules around permanent separation? Please could someone point me to the relevant HMRC guidance. Thanks.

Please can you confirm if as per - SDLTM09797 - SDLT - higher rates for additional dwellings: Condition C - divorce and civil partnership dissolution, I am exempt from higher rates stamp duty IF I am buying my main and only home while divorce and consent order is in process (following 6 yesrs of separation) and not finalized by the time of completion data. Thank you.
