I returned overseas and claimed a tax refund having worked in the UK. It has been paid but the cheque is in my married name - I’m divorced so use my maiden name. I was employed in my maiden name, so that was what was detailed on my P45. I can’t use Govt Gateway to update my name as all my ID, UK passport and Driving License are in my maiden name - the name I have been using since 2011. How do I return the refund cheque and get it re-issued in the correct name and align my name with my NI number?
