I am British, have recently turned 55 and wish to withdraw 25% of my private pension. I am not currently resident in the UK. Does the HMRC require me to be resident in the UK to be able to access this sum? If I need to be resident, what are the requirements? The country I currently live in has a double taxation agreement with the UK if that makes any difference.
