At the start of this month, I received notification that my Tax Code had changed. This change reflected that I was no longer receiving Company Car benefit, however I gave up the company car last August. This change is equivalent to me having paid around £1400 a month in Tax more than I should have. Is there any way I can claim this back, as stated, I gave up the company car a year ago?

Apologies, I've noticed a typo in my original post, the value is around £400, not £1400.

Hi Tom,
Any tax you have overpaid for the current tax year will be refunded by your employer through your wages when they operate the amended tax code, this is applicable as long as a cumulative tax code is in operation. Any tax overpaid for the previous tax year will be reviewed automatically once we have all your pay and tax details. If you have overpaid, you will receive a P800 tax calculation in the post.
Please see:
Tax overpayments and underpayments.
Thank you.
