Hello, I left UK early 2023 and I realised just now that I should have done my P85 and communicate it to HMRC. My situation is a little complex because I have worked for UK employer up until August 2022 and then I was self-employed until the end of 2022. Few months later I decided to definitely move with my partner back in the UK. I have payed my taxes both when I was employed and when I was self-employed. I wanted to ask few things: Do I still submit a tax claim with my P85? what are my options for the pension I have accumulated up until now? ( I have worked in UK for 6 years and my employers have set for me different pension funds) Thank you in advance for your response ! Kind regards, Cristina

Hi,
You do not need to submit a P85 if you are submitting a tax return.
If your gross turnover from self employment exceeded £1000, then you are required to complete at tax return for tax year 2022 to 2023.  The tool below will let you know if a tax return for 2023 to 2024 tax year is also required.
Check if you need to send a Self Assessment tax return
Thank you.
