Hi, I am 28, live in Switzerland, and have never been domiciled in the UK. I will be moving to the UK permanently before the end of the year. I am a British and Swiss national. While working in Switzerland, I've paid into a restricted private pension plan (3a). Once I leave Switzerland, I will be able to withdraw the funds I paid into this account, for which a withdrawal tax will be levied by the Swiss government. Will I be taxed by the UK government if I bring this money into the country? This would not be a pension payment since I'm not retired, but rather a withdrawal for the purpose of relocation. Thank you for your assistance.

Please have a look at the guidance on overseas pension transfers.
Overseas pensions: pension transfers
As what actions you take may impact the tax liability of your penson.
Thank you.
