I am a UK citizen and have a home in the UK, but I recently moved to Malta where I am now a resident. I am employed by a a UK company to work in Europe. I will return to the UK for less than 90 days a year and I will not work in the UK. My salary and dividends are paid from the UK company, but I am registered as a tax resident in Malta under the Malta Global Resident program. Will I need to pay any UK tax on my earnings received from the UK company? I will eventually return to the UK (Maybe in 5 years), so do I need to pay NI in the UK while I’m a resident in Malta and what amount would I need to pay?
