Hi, I left Uk a few months ago and I dont get any UK income.I do have an active bank account and some savings and I only get a savings interest rate which is less than £1000 per year . There is a question on p85 for any Uk income that we might get.. what do I select according to my above circumstances? Also how can I request for a bank transfer in case of any tax return instead of a cheque as I no longer live in UK? Many thanks in advance

Hi mpamia,
On the P85 if your only UK income is bank interest then this is what you would declare.
On the P85 it asks for your bank details to send any repayment due to.
Thank you.

Hi, Thanks for the reply I did complete the form until the very last step and Tbh there was no section at all to put down my bank details in order to get any potential refund. Only to select If i want the repayment to be sent to my overseas address or to the Uk address, which by the way its the most recent UK address as per the question on the form… thats why I put it down on the form so hopefully there wont been sent anything cause I don’t have anything to do with this address anymore as I moved away. Can you please advise Thanks

Hi,

Whe you complete the P85, if the option to have your repayment issued to your bank account is not present, then we may only be able to refund you by issuing a cheque payment.

Thank you.
