Tax from my overseas bank account

Hi, I am an Italian citizen and I started working in the UK on the 3rd of July 2023, and arrived in the UK on the 30th of June. I have a French bank account with some money (I had been working in France from 2019 to June 2023) and I want to transfer this money from my French bank account to the UK one that I have freshly created. Will I have to pay taxes on the noney I will be moving? Thanks and regards

Hi,

You will not pay tax on the actual capital that you transfer but may be liable on any interest or dividends this then generates.
