If I do not file self assessment tax returns and am not on PAYE, can I claim SEIS tax relief by just writing to HMRC with the SEIS 3 form? If so do I just get a cheque and if so how long would it normally take to come through? If I go onto PAYE and want to claim then, what should I do? many thanks

Hi JONATHAN,
Please send your claim to:
PAYE & SA,
HMRC
BX9 1AS
and it will get dealt with as soon as possible - a cheque (Payable Order) is normally issued but remember that you must have paid enough tax to cover the tax relief due - the following Link provides further background -
Tax relief for investors using venture capital schemes.
Thank you.

Hi HMRC. I have submitted a similar request in March and have not heard back. I am worried I might not get a reply. What should I do?
