Hi, I am Marina. I moved to UK with my family from Ukraine in 2022 under the homes for Ukraine scheme. After moving to UK we were registered with the DWP and started receiving Universal Credit. My husband is a permanent resident of Ukraine but from Pakistan and have started working as a sole trader in the UK in 2023. In 2022 we both were not working due to medical issues (maternity with me) and in 2023 my partner is registered with DWP as a sole trader. We have some savings and interest/stocks in Ukriane which is still not accessible to us due to the Martial law in Ukraine. Could you pls guide us what kind of tax system we need to use arising or the remittance basis taxation for 2022 and 2023? Thank you in advance!
