PAYE coding notice

I was issued a new tax code yesterday, which was visible on my online account immediately after the conversation with HMRC. When I look at my PAYE coding notices though, it hasn't been issued to my employer yet/the letter I would usually get in the post hasn't been generated yet. Does anyone know if there is a delay between the tax code being updated in the online account, and the PAYE coding notice letter being generated (and sent to me and my employer)?
