My wife and I got married in Italy but are both tax residents and living in UK. Several guest bought us gift in an Italian-based shop (hence paying the applicable full Italian VAT at purhcase) and we wanted to ship all these gifts to the UK . We got married in September 2023 and the gifts are ready to be shipped now. 1) I am liable to UK important or custom duty taxes on physical wedding gift if shipped to the UK? 2) If so, how much? Are there discounts because these are wedding gifts?
