Due to poor health, I am planning to return to my home country next month. I have been in the UK since September 2013. Am I still considered as non domiciled? I have a regular job and will be resigning. At the same time, I also have received foreign income. I assume I need not to pay taxes on foreign income from the day after I have left the UK. Is this correct? Thanks.

Hi S Loh,
You will need to review the statutory residence tests to determine whether you will be considered tax resident for the whole tax year or not tax resident for the whole tax year.
If you are deemed tax resident, you will need to check whether split year treatment applies.
If it does, you will need to claim this on SA109 as part of your 2023 to 2024 tax return.

Thank you.
