Hi, I became a UK Tax Resident in 2023. I have not claimed for non-domicile nor remittant basis. I would like to open a new UK investment account and transfer money from an oversea investment account, which I hold before I came to the UK, to that. My question to this is: Will the money that transfered considered as my income in the UK and being taxed? Thank you very much for your time in answering this.

Hi,
The actual capital will not but any interest generated is taxable income.
Thank you.
