Hi My father wishes to distribute some of his wealth in line with the inheritance tax rules; specifically, he wishes to give me and my sons (x2) 250 each. We all live overseas, and only I have a UK bank account. (He does not wish to send the money to our overseas bank accounts.) He is concerned if he deposits 750 to me, and for me to distribute onwards 250 to each of my sons, this may be counted as a 750 gift to me, which breaches the inheritance tax rules. If sufficient records are kept (email), which demonstrate the 750 transferred to me is for me and my two sons, and I confirm I have transferred their gifts of 250 each by converting into AU dollars and paying into their AU bank accounts, does this satisfy the distribution of 250 per person rules? Thanks
