I am a full time employee so I do not use self assessment. I have saving interest slightly higher than £1000 which I need to report. Should I report it through the ‘add missing income’ on my PAYE info page of the HMRC app? I tried to fill in that missing income form but I am uncertain which income type to pick (e.g. non coded income/other income) and the amount to fill in. Should I deduct the 1000 allowance for the amount? Moreover, when should I report it for 2023/2024?

Hi doraemei,
If the savings interest is being paid by a bank or building society, they should inform us of this automatically.
So there's no need to report it to us or declare it in a different way, any tax due will be calculated when we have confirmation of the exact figure from your bank.
Thank you.
