Split year treatment starting month

This is my first year doing self assessment and I arrived in the UK in June 2022. I was still employed overseas and was having annual leave from June to August 2022. I went back abroad to work in August 2022 and continued my job till Dec 2022, then I came back to the UK for good. Should I start the split year from June 2022 or August 2022? Thank you!
